An interesting violin ca.
1800-1850 converted to Baroque setup. Probably a copy of an earlier
instrument, the violin responds very well and has a unique, warm
and silvery tone. The interesting shape, and large, almost ungainly
upper bout, is not an effect of the camera lens! Despite appearances,
this is my favorite violin for general playing purposes. Can be
visited in Tokyo, Japan by appointment only.
